Alpha 0.5.2


A small update to the game before we start working on the larger changes. This includes a lot of stuff that was suggested or mentioned in player feedback.


Changes:

  • Updated the Crisis system tutorial to include information on the point needed to trigger a crisis going down with each crisis that occurs.
  • Slightly increased cost of missions to counter it being made easier from the cost reduction techs working correctly now.
  • Slightly weakened some of the T3 buildings.
  • Slightly increased the time to arrive for earlier ships and slightly lowered the health as well.
  • Added in a short general tutorial on how to play the game.
  • Cooperative Endeavors now shows the points earned by it flying from one system to the other.
  • Reduced Cooperative Endeavors from 5 Science/Exploration to 3
  • Slightly increased the 'cost' of x2 points effects when generating a planet. Basically planets with it will have fewer points for extra slots, resources and points.
  • Added the version number to the upper right of the game screen to make it clearer what version screenshots are from when issues are reported with them.
  • Slightly adjusted screen layout to raise planets and keep the strategic resource display from going off screen on the largest planet size.

Fixes:

  • Fixed an issue where cost reduction for exploration missions was instead increasing the cost.
  • Fixed an issue with trying to build a 2 production cost building on a planet with a -2 production cost reduction effect.
  • Fixed the Coordinated Targeting Center not working. 
  • Fixed the Cooperative Endeavors bonus to correctly grant the mentioned points.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented adding any buildings to a planet when at a negative for one of the  strategic resources rather than only preventing adding a building that requires that negative resource.
  • Fixed the metal resource not showing up when reaching double digits of both water and biomass.
  • Fixed an issue where returning to the menu and then trying to start a new game would leave the faction screen paused and unresponsive.
  • Fixed the 'full game only' message showing up for the human faction when first entering the faction screen.
  • Fixed spelling of a few words
  • Fixed the warning when trying to build a wonder on an invalid spot to correctly say it requires a t3 instead of saying a t2 which was incorrect.
  • Changing the building tier tab will also update the valid slots on held planets.
